Live Edge Maple Tealight Candle Holder (Multiple Sizes)
Beautifully handcrafted live edge maple tealight holder, ideally suited as a dining table centerpiece due to its curved shape, but could also be used on a mantle, sideboard, or shelf. The maple originates from an urban tree that was cut down in Alexandria, Virginia. The wood was milled and air-dried for one year before being made into a tealight holder.
All rough bark is removed along the live edges and sanded with ascending grit until everything is super smooth. Finally, a generous coating of Walrus Oil furniture butter is applied throughout, left to cure for 48 hours, and buffed smooth to provide a durable finish that accentuates the natural beauty of the maple.
Each piece is about 1/2" to 1" thick and will vary slightly in its wood pattern and shape, but they all share a similar curvature.
- The large piece is 38" (L) x 7" (W) and holds five 1 1/2" tealights (five 2" glass tealight holders are included); tealight candles are not included.
- The medium piece is 21" (L) x 6" (W) and holds three 1 1/2" tealights (three 2" glass tealight holders are included); tealight candles are not included.
- The small piece is 18" (L) x 5" (W) and holds two 1 1/2" tealights (two 2" glass tealight holders are included); tealight candles are not included.
Furniture Butter: Walrus Oil's Furniture Butter penetrates and seals with plant-based polymerizing oils and hard waxes, pulling out natural wood colors and tones, and locking them in permanently. The hard waxes add sheen and provide water protection after fully cured. Handcrafted with Perilla Seed Oil, Polymerizing Safflower Oil, Hemp Seed Oil, Tung Oil, Carnauba Wax, Candelilla Wax, Pine Rosin, with a hint of lime.
